Next Assetto Corsa Competizione console update will enable Xbox Series X|S hot patches

The update will arrive in the “next few weeks” and will also iron out multiplayer stability for Xbox owners, followed by more significant changes for both Microsoft and Sony devices.

The recent PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of racing simulator Assetto Corsa Competizione have brought a closer-to-PC driving experience to Gen 9 owners.

But, the launch hasn’t been without its hiccups. Our PS5-only review noted that several launch bugs had already been zapped, but we were contacted by numerous Xbox owners citing several instabilities.

A new update for the game on the Microsoft platforms is due soon, highlighted in a new post by publisher 505 Games, which once approved, will allow for hot patches to be implemented by development partner Untold Games. This ability is already functional for the PS5 version.

Hopefully, this will allow for quicker remedies to smaller afflictions. Its release is slated for “the next few weeks” and is also said to improve the migration of statistics from previous generation editions.

More further down the line

Following this next update for Xbox drivers, further tweaks will be implemented across both consoles. There is no clear timeline as yet, other than it will follow the aforementioned ‘back-end’ update.

Graphical enhancements for the weather and vehicle designs are said to be part of this change, alongside server reliability and reply that save stability.
