Smartphones top the list of daily utility gadgets. They have been helping users with a gamut of tasks such as banking, shopping, social media, and many more. Accordingly, tech companies around the world have been working towards offering the best user experience. Apple, considered to be a pioneer in communication technology, has been consistently upgrading its offerings too.

At the Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC 2022), Apple announced a slew of enhancements to its iOS. With the new iOS users will have a seamless experience with applications and user interface on their iPhones. Based on the latest reports, Apple has introduced a host of new features to iMessage applications and others.

The tech giant recently seeded the fifth beta of iOS16 to developers to test and introduce some minor yet significant enhancements to the operating system.

Battery Percentage Indicator

Among the new features, iPhone 12, iPhone 13, iPhone X and iPhone XS will now have the battery percentage displayed on the status bar. This can be activated from the Battery section in the Settings app. Unfortunately, this feature will not be available on iPhone minis, iPhone 11 and iPhone XR. Considering the notch and space constraints, this feature was absent on iPhones for years.
